Who Are The Most Influential Women In The World of Technology?


It is well known that men dominate the world of technology, but there are women also, less, but still a long time in this industry.
Some of them have a huge impact in the latest technological trends in the world.
Among them 12 percent are engineers.
Business Insider published a list of the richest women in the IT world.

Meg Whitman


The former executive director of Ebay, Meg Whitman, possesses a wealth of two billion dollars and she’s first on the list richest women in charge of the most powerful high tech companies.

Sheryl Sandberg


On the second place is Sheryl Sandberg from Facebook, whose wealth is estimated at 1 billion dollars.
She also became known for her best-selling book “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead”.

Marissa Mayer


She’s in charge in Yahoo since July 2012, and her wealth is estimated around 300 million dollars.

Virginia M. Rometty


Next on the list is Virginia Rometi who about two years ago she’s the head of IBM. Her wealth is less than a billion dollars, and she works at the company as an engineer from her 24.

Safra Catz


She is the financial director of Oracle, in 2013 she earned more than 44 million dollars only from stock.

The list includes also Ursula Burns the chairman and CEO of Xerox, Renee James president of Intel, Amy Hood the first female Chief Financial Officer at Microsoft Corporation, Angela Ahrendts Apple’s new SVP of Retail and Online Stores and the first woman who will join the team of Tim Cook.

And the last place is Lucy Peng one of the founders of the Chinese e-commerce business cluster Alibaba Group, a company worth around 120 billion dollars.
