Smartphone App For Blind Photographers
According to Dustin Adams and his colleagues from the University of California at Santa Cruz, the visually impaired people will be able to make photos and to show them to their dear people.
The researches were conducted on 60 people aged 18 to 78 years.
The smartphones already have the option face detection, and the technology improve it further with some new features like swipe up to snap feature and audio signsfor lokalisation the shutter button.
The application is not yet available, but the UCSC results of the researches will be published at the end of this month in Rhodes, Greece at the Pervasive Technologies Related to Assistive Environments conference.
