Project Morpheus: Sony Presents The Future of Video Games!
Sony has announced its VR Headset – coupled device camera, which creates a virtual reality experience. The product was announced at this year’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, and now Morpheus is in the prototype phase.
The company believes that virtual reality is the next logical step in the evolution and innovation in the world of video games.
“This is a prototype, and we are not talking about our final product yet.
The prototype for Project Morpheus is the culmination of our work over the last 3+ years as we’ve refined our vision for VR.
This prototype will serve as the first development kit for PS4 developers that are as enthusiastic about this new medium as we are.” said Shuhei Yoshida, the President of Sony’s Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.
The Gamers through this device will enter in the world of their favorite games, writes Sony on their official page. Although the project is still in the prototype phase, it hides screen 1080p, array of sensors, Morheus 3D technology and PlayStation camera, which follows the movements of the head, in order to convey the player in the virtual world of the games.
