Meet The BMW Eco Scooter That Is Coming Out This Year!

BMW has announced that in 2014 will be released their electric scooter with the BMW C evolution.

This vehicle is conceived as a future electric scooter that is perfect for the urban environment.

The crucial performances of the C evolution scooter will be comparable to those of a maxi scooter with combustion engine

and long driving range.

The BMW electric vehicle holds an 8 kWh battery that it takes circa 3 hours to recharge on a regular household outlet or a charging station. It has an electronically limited top speed to 75 mph and a range of 62 miles with a single charge. The electric scooter is able to perform hill starts without effort on step slopes with a passenger. It also handles, according to BMW, motorway riding and overtaking also with passenger. Concerning the acceleration, from 0 to 37 mph it comfortably holds its own against current scooters with capacity of 600 cc or more.

The release date is still not announced, but the company is currently testing the green vehicle in a pilot phase, in which the vehicles are operated in real conditions of use and areas that reflect their predetermined environment.
