2014 BMW i8
The BMW i8 plug in hybrid earns the status of super green car at this show. It impresses with his gull-wing doors and sharp lines but what impresses the most is the i8’s hybrid electric power train. It is provided with 231-horse power and three cylinder turbo engine paired with a 131-horsepower electric motor.

2015 Volkswagen E-Golf
The Volkswagen E-Golf was the standout electric car of the show. It is a pure electric vehicle that the German automaker plans to build as early as 2015. It is a 115-horsepower e-Golf that runs completely on electricity. That is allowed by the 24.2 kWh battery and the electric motor.

2014 Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell
The Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell is powered by hydrogen stored in an on-board tank and has no greenhouse gas emissions. It offers 300 miles of gasoline-free driving per fill-up. There is an added bonus by the automaker for those who are previous users of Hyndai’s hydrogen powered SUV which includes valet-style and personalized maintenance and service. The Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell will be first offered exclusively in southern California.
